A woman who knows her time to die has come sings this text from Ecclesiastes3:8 from the Bible
Vox Vitae, an album composed only using the voice, exploring it as a malleable and expansive instrument. In Vox Vitae, the voice surprises the listeners transforming itself continuously, from processed to sampled and distorted vocalizations; while also fusing invented languages with Italian opera and even reggaeton tracks and beat boxing. Through these diverse vocal landscapes, Cecilia’s voice traces the different stages of human life from conception to death.

This experimental piece was produced in 2022 by Cecilia and Emilia Vega, a sound engineer arranger and multi-instrumentalist. They produced and composed this album following their previous success, Las Cuatro Estaciones, a pop album released in 2021.

Vox Vitae is an album with a permeable nature influenced, guided and nurtured by both contemporary and traditional music and sounds. This album is reflective of Cecilia’s dynamic and transformative musical talent.
